The Shihpoo dog is a relatively new designer breed that has been developed in North America somewhere within the last thirty years. Shihpoo dogs are bred by crossing a Toy Poodle and a Shih Tzu. Poodles have German origins, while the Shih Tzu dog hails from China. The combination of a Poodle and a Shih Tzu yields a puppy that is fluffy, small, friendly, and very intelligent, making a great lap dog.
